Can someone explain to me why the winner of this match has to place top 3 at the Last Chance Olympic Qualifier in Turkey?? They are representing the USA at the 2024 Olympics, so what's up with winning in Turkey?
@clinthimes21127 күн бұрын
At the PAN AM we had Zane Richardson and he did not qualify the weight. But Lee will qualify the weight in Turkey for the USA.
@clinthimes21127 күн бұрын
It is a last chance qualifier. Lee and Rutherford have to qualify the weights in Turkey.
@christopherroth723927 күн бұрын
There are more countries than there are spots in the Olympic brackets so countries have to qualify for those spots. One way is to medal at the world championships the previous year. We did not medal at 57 or 65 kg so we have to earn a spot by placing in a qualifying tournament. One was the pan am championships a month or 2 ago and at both weights we did not place high enough to earn a spot. We have one more chance to qualify for a spot at the tournament in Turkey. This is not anything new. We have not qualified weights before. Last Olympics we failed to qualify 65 kg.

Garbage. That ref screwed Valencia. He got out of the shot clock and Brooks didn’t when Brooks was more passive 2/3rds of the match. He was in the way when they went out of bounds and tried to award brooks a takedown on a push out. And then a caution with the singlet at the end of the match? One bad call is one thing but seems like he had a favorite to win

IDK man, I'm playin this @ .25 speed @ 6:59 and I can't determine how Lee landed. Looks easily like a 4 PT feet to back in real time but he may have miraculously landed with his chest more towards the mat than his back despite his hips.
