Hi Travis, I am having a hard time pulling the igniter out of the socket. I'm worried the igniter will break. Do you have thoughts on this? Also, I noticed you did not remove the tape from the igniter assembly. Is this recommended? Thanks.

Great questions. I'm not an expert, just showing people what I did. That, and it's been a few years since I shot this video. I would just be careful when pulling it apart. Per the tape - I forget why I left it on. Does the video show the old one having tape still on it? Sorry I can't be more helpful. Thanks for watching!

Shipping costs more than the igniters, so might as well order a spare for the same shipping price. There's plenty of space inside the top to store the spare. This is also a good time to replace that short power cord with a longer one from an appliance cord, extension cord, old TV cord, whatever. Just cut off the female end, strip the wiring and use the twist connectors inside the Flowtron.
