That's actually a good advice he gave Conor. If you keep switching stance you're using muscles you're not used to. So you burn more energy and tire yourself out. Whether it's boxing or MMA, that's useful information for Conor. So yeah Floyd does have more IQ in fighting. It may not be BJJ or Muay Thai stuff, but he understands fighter mentality, habits, and physicality.

so do you think floyd is going to change his fighting style at the end of his career? i agree floyd is the better box hands down and he has done that his whole career by being a defensive boxer. hasnt knocked anyone legitimately in 18 years... but it'll be far from easy work to put conor away.. especially when he takes punches from a 190 pound nate diaz, and will most likely be 15 pounds heavier than floyd in there. Floyd will be the faster, better boxer.. but conor has a chin and floyd will not be able to knock him out. Conor also won't be in the typical boxing range every other boxer has faced him with, he will be farther away. With all this said, i believe conor has a good chance in the first 5 rounds to KO him with a left or it will be a decision to FLoyd by being the best technical defensive boxer ever. I'm open to your opinion and want to hear more from your side and with actual analysis.. not just "this is boxing"

how so? if u say nate diaz..his first fight he went up from being a week out already cut to 155 then having to move up to 170.. check the film the first round he dropped nate diaz..then gassed in second round causing nate to get him.. second fight.. he stood toe to toe at 170 fighting a full camp nate who weighed 180+ on fight night and lasting 5 rounds...even if i were to agree that he didn't have a chin (which he does)connor takes punches from a 180 lb nate diaz with 4 oz gloves.. 154 lb floyd with 8 or 10 oz gloves will sting..but will not ko conor

Lol switching stances is a very basic move in modern MMA, if you don't switch stances in an MMA fight, a few times every fight, then that's a sign of a basic fighter. Talking about energy management to a 29 year old dual weight MMA champion... dude these guys grapple for more than 50% of the fight, grappling drains 10 times the energy of punching, 5 minute rounds to 3 minute rounds. Cardiovascular function will not be an issue for McGregor against a 40 year old guy who is putting on weight for this fight.

Someone's getting dominated in this fight. Either Conor blitzkriegs him or Floyd picks his body apart like a tactician. It all depends on what approach Conor takes in the early rounds, he chooses his fate. I think Conor will try to use his right hand to control Floyd's head and movement and blast him with the left. Sorta like Jon Jones does fighters which is extremely effective if you have that reach advantage. Floyd will have to dodge and deflect this until Conor gets frustrated and tired. Sloppy boxing or not, it would be difficult to survive a bombardment from Conor. But it would be a huge risk for Conor energy-wise. So Conor I believe has a small window for great success if he does what he does best which is relentless strategic bombing so to speak. But if he misses that window and can't continue being the aggressor then he's done. Floyd will accumulate points off his midsection. They might get equally gassed but Conor needs his speed more than Floyd does. If it goes past 4 round then it's going to be such an ugly fight around that 7th round mark where Conor is frustrated but still lively. He'll be desperate and shots will be dirty. My opinion...who knows.

If I have to choose whether to believe Mcrgregor or Malignaggi I'm going to take Paulie's word he has always been a stand up guy and a straight shooter. However I am also a fan of Conor and I think he's great for the sport but he's a young kid and has made some mistakes with some of the ways he's treated people outside the octagon that have made people question his character. I think having a son is the best thing to happen to him and I'm sure it'll help him continue to mature

Mayweather is all about dragging the opponent into the later rounds and picking them apart (not that he can KO many of them anyways). I remember his first fight with Maidana. It seemed like Maidana was winning, but Mayweather started dissecting him.
