Of course Roy Jones has been knocked out. When you're trying to box at the age he is, you're going to lose more than a few steps. Roy Jones Jr. didn't have a defense like Mayweather because his fighting style is to go in and box. He said in one of his videos that, "Boxing is like football... you're not gonna blitz all the time, but you blitz enough to where your opponent think you gonna be blitzin'" and that really is his ideology when he goes to box. He didn't need to throw his shoulder up when he was slamming his fists in his opponents face, and then parrying all of their punches. You criticize his defense, when he never really had a defense to criticize. I advise that you watch him fight; he was a really good fighter in his prime and he was a step above all the others. Mike Tyson was a freak of nature, he trained hard as nails and he dominated everyone, but he's the only one that I would put as the best boxer.

Obviously, a punching glove hurts and does more damage than a fist or MMA glove due to the size of the glove and weight, those gloves are about 45-50 ounces so the punch will come with more force, MMA gloves are only 5-10 ounces and are much way smaller, a strong MMA puncher will always create more damage but MMA is for animals
