For those who want to get straight to the point. At 14:40 Floyd says if he was training Errol Spence he wouldn't allow him to fight at 147 or 154 for that matter. He says Spence should be at 160 or 168lbs.
@jamescollis76509 ай бұрын
Thank you! Basically Floyd said nothing about the fight other than saying it was the wrong weight for Errol - I.e. making an excuse for Errol. I wonder if he ever talked about Errol fighting at a higher weight before Errol lost.

he will never look the same fighting Bud at 147 or 154. Bud struggles making 147 he looked more drained and dried out than errol at the weigh in. Errol style will never beat bud even if they fought 10 times. I like Errol also but drained was not the reason he lost

He's also implying yhe result doesn't change at 54, the weight drain wasn't the reason spence was so off, but youre forgetting floyd owns part of PBC spence is PBC, that's his guy ultimately. Even though he prefers crawford as a fighter which spence was jealous off. All of spence idols prefer crawford, they didn't believe he could beat spence. Which got Spence annoyed. Don't take too much into what floyd is saying. Spence is his guy from a business point of view, so he has to protect him. Floyd knows ESJ stylistically would struggle. Now as you see Crawford is getting to pick his opponents somewhat, It'll be Charlo I assume and if not chatlo I see him fighting Spence again and fighting Tsyzu then retiring.

It's a matter on what you focus on, right? There is money and then there are skills and Floyd had both along with smart timing and management. He was also one helluva promoter of his fights. He knew what to say and when to say it, extremely confident, smart, engaging and entertaining. He was 3 steps ahead of his opponents, knew exactly where he wanted to be and never in a position of disadvantage in or out of the ring. Impeccable defense, speed and could light you up as Pretty Boy or Money Mayweather. The epitome of hit and not get hit. He trained like a madman and could do it all. All the special effects, inside, outside, check hooks, body work, granite chin. One of the greats in his or any era. And if you don't know he will tell you himself. When you think about it Floyd, they are really giving you a backhanded compliment. Which means their subconscious mind knows what it is when it comes to your skills, and dedication, believe me, they know. That's just the only way they can say it, without actually saying it.

Although the fight did happen, Spence didnt come into the fight fully prepared; Legs werent conditioned and Defense wasnt properly prepared( Spence footwork was off and he had terrible defense for the opponent he was facing.) Also Spence no longer needs to be fighting at 147(Drained) nor 154(possibly still drained). Great performance for Crawford he is the Better fighter but Spence was drained. All you have to do is Listen. Im still team #Mandown

He is also saying that Crawfords victory at 36 is amazing and that Errol played himself by trying to fight at that weight especially off of a layoff where he was not training ‘weak legs, bad defense if he always intended to do strap season his training camp would have effectively been 15 months’ I also believe he is indirectly agreeing that Crawford did not need the fight for legacy as much as Spence did
