It's a matter on what you focus on, right? There is money and then there are skills and Floyd had both along with smart timing and management. He was also one helluva promoter of his fights. He knew what to say and when to say it, extremely confident, smart, engaging and entertaining. He was 3 steps ahead of his opponents, knew exactly where he wanted to be and never in a position of disadvantage in or out of the ring. Impeccable defense, speed and could light you up as Pretty Boy or Money Mayweather. The epitome of hit and not get hit. He trained like a madman and could do it all. All the special effects, inside, outside, check hooks, body work, granite chin. One of the greats in his or any era. And if you don't know he will tell you himself. Spence didn't show the ability to box backwards and could have attempted to circle to his left vs Crawford. That being said, Floyd alludes to fighting at 147 being part or the problem. Crawford kept the fight at mid range which stifled a lot of what Spence wanted to do. All respect to Crawford. He exposed the holes in Spence's game beautifully and has a killer instinct like none other currently. A bit early to compare him to Mayweather but a fun conversation given the circumstances. The rematch should happen at 154. If Spence uses more head movement and footwork he may have a chance. Perhaps he thought he was going to steamroll Crawford being the naturally bigger guy. Big mistake standing in front of him like that. Also, being a natural right hander, Crawford's jab was essentially a jab/cross hybrid in terms of power and was easily able to out jab Spence and stun him on occasion. This led to Sp3nce abandoning the jab, set to fight at close range (which he couldnt breach) and throwing predictable wide lefts. A perfectly straight left cross would have fared much better.
