That is the most common mistake people make about punching power to think punching power comes from how strong or big your arms are. About the big hands vs small hands...that can be debated. I don't think it matters much because of the same size gloves used in boxing, but generally a big hand (without gloves) hits a larger area and has more concussive type of damage and a small/tiny hands punctures skin and breaks bones more easily (small area of impact). Both can be equally destructive when used in the right way. But we are talking about boxing with gloves on, the difference in hand size playing a factor in a boxing match is very minimal.

Rolacon Punching power comes from multiple things. Your back muscles give you power, core muscles, your stance, and how much legs you use to punch. If you havent noticed yet, pacquiao has huge quads and calves which is why i think he has such good power. Also many people say that some people are just naturally a stronger puncher. My prediction, Manny will win the first couple of rounds due to outworking Mayweather even though he will land very little cleanly. After a couple rounds Mayweather will get Pacquiao's timing and rhythm down and start frustrating him with head movement, feints, and shifting. At this point 2 things will happen. First Mayweather is gonna starting countering Pac clean with check left hooks and pull lead rights. Once Manny starts becoming a little less anxious to to leap in and fire off combinations Mayweather is gonna start pushing him back and walking him down and controlling the distance with his jab (Mayweather has a significantly longer reach and is the naturally bigger man). He'll use his jab to the body in order to start systematically breaking Pacquiao down and take away his athleticism. In the end Mayweather wins be UD and by a wide margin, Could Pacquiao win? Sure, this is boxing and if we knew for sure what was going to happen there would be no need in them fighting. But as a former amateur boxer and life long fight fan, my money has to be on Mayweather.
