The biggest difference is Floyd NEVER got caught with a devastating shot like that so many times in the same fight. If Floyd ever got clipped he did the proper things to recover and more importantly DONT get clipped again. Plus Floyd had a hall of fame corner to revive him when he was hurt r even couldn’t figure a fighter out. Devin corner was panicking the whole fight, he stood no chance after the 1st left hoof from Ryan in my opinion. The best chin is a chin that doesn’t get touched.

They didn’t really talk about “Devins Mistake” only about his dad Bill. I will be getting into depth on “Devin Haneys Real Mistake”. Yes his dad was a affect on why Devin lost. His dad told him to go in the center of the ring to brawl fight and pressure Ryan which was a bad idea because all Ryan did was step back and counter with his signature left hook. What Devin should have done was fight really cautious and smart. Keep his distance and use his footwork to walk around the ring to keep range/distance not engaged in the center of the ring. Fight smart and use the jab to find opening to score points. Devin has a “pillow fist” so pressuring Ryan in the center of the ring was a huge mistake. Ryan is the stronger bigger puncher of the two.

Well I mean actually they did address Devin’s “biggest mistake” because ultimately Bill Haney is at the center of it all, Bill has never been a fighter before and couldn’t give his son proper instructions on how to nullify Ryan’s most dangerous shot which is the left hand, he couldn’t tell his son what to do because he’s never done it before, although I do think this is Floyd’s way of rubbing it in I must say Bill lost more than Devin because he’s not allowing Devin to be his own man.

Devin being in the ring should have fought with his instinct and focus on his strength which is more of a boxing defensive style. Instead he listen to his dad and went in aggressively and recklessly. Devin stay in the pocket fight a lot. They knew Ryan was a heavy puncher with a high KO percentage so I don’t know why they went in aggressive and fought in the pocket when they should be moving around the ring to get away from the left hook. Use the ring and look for counters with the jab. Bill Haney gameplan cost Devin lost. But being the Elite Devin is, he should have knew better.

Devin walking back away is the best answer for the left counter hook instead of walking “into” the left counter hook. Might want to reread that again so you understand it better. My writing is bad. Anyways Devin could have won by fighting a boring fight. Fight very cautious, hit and not get hit style, sweet science of boxing style but instead he went in aggressive running into the left hook counter catching him off guard. Hope this clear things up.

It's costly to constantly showboat when that money could have gone into a mutual fund or towards appreciating objects such as property and real estate. Older folks typically have learned by experience and want you to avoid those pitfalls since we didn't see them at your age either.
