Pigeon Forge is a mountain resort city in Sevier County, Tennessee, United States. As of the 2020 census, the city had a total population of 6,343. Situated just 5 miles (8 km) north of Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Pigeon Forge is a tourist destination that caters primarily to Southern culture and country music fans. The city's attractions include Dollywood and Dollywood's Splash Country, WonderWorks, Alcatraz East Crime Museum, Dolly Parton's Stampede, as well as numerous gift shops, outlet malls, amusement rides, and musical theaters.
Gatlinburg is a mountain resort city in Sevier County, Tennessee. It is located 39 miles (63 km) southeast of Knoxville and had a population of 3,944 at the 2010 Census and a U.S. Census population of 3,577 in 2020. It is a popular vacation resort, as it rests on the border of Great Smoky Mountains National Park along U.S. Route 441, which connects to Cherokee, North Carolina, on the southeast side of the national park. Prior to incorporation, the town was known as White Oak Flats, or simply White Oak.

I’m a Publix Associate in the Lakeland Warehouse Division. Of course Publix is open. Warehouses are in open receiving so we can have those stores filled with food before storm gets to bad.

We use to live in the Plant City are and would drive through Lakeland all the time to get Orlando theme parks! We grew up on Publix, it's our families favorite grocery store!

My husband and I have visited Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg multiple times on our vacations to The Smokys. Our favorite was always the National park. We would escape to higher elevations in the heat. I remember being on Newfound Gap in October when it snowed up there. First time experiencing snow in the Smokys and the drive through those curve mountains was stressful on my husband who was no stranger to icy roads. They’re more dangerous in the mountains. With the many times we’ve been there I’m sad to say we never went to downtown Sevierville. So I appreciate you sharing! We were in PF & G in the winter one time for the day as we made our way home to Michigan from Florida. We couldn’t not stop on our way through. We enjoyed a Christmas show at the time. Just love that area. Great mix of escaping to nature and city all wrapped together.

Request: When the roads are better, I'd like to see a video walk on the trail behind Sugarlands Vistor Center. The one that is about 2 miles outside of Gatlinburg, inside the National Park. I'd like to see how far the pavement goes down the trail for people in wheelchairs...and enjoy the Little River views. I wouldn't mind seeing inside the Vistor Center too. Just keep walking down the trail past the pavement so we can see if the trail stays smooth enough for an electric outdoor wheelchair. That is one of the only trails that goes out in the woods that might be accessible. Show any trail you know of that might work in a wheelchair. I already know about the River Walk in Pigeon Forge, but looking for accessible areas that are more in nature and the streams. Thanks.

We live in Gatlinburg there are many accidents being reported. Go home. Be with your family. As I stated in the very beginning of the video, I had no plans to get on any "treacherous roads". As a firefighter/paramedic that was trained EVOC, I wouldn’t attempt to drive any road that would cause myself or anyone else harm. Trained as a paramedic, I have actually been able to assist people in accidents numerous times. Keep in mind, we are essentially independent journalist. Ask yourself are you holding local news stations to the same standard of not being allowed to utilize a public road?
