Wears Valley Road, Traffic light #3 in Pigeon Forge....lights have numbers hanging from them :) This picnic area is priceless! Bring a nice set up & spend the hot part of the day there, it's free. Thanks Adventure family!

Someday I’ll remember light numbers. I’m used to remembering road names as a firefighter/paramedic. It is a great little picnic area in The Smokies Val! -Ryan

@@AdventureIsOutThere it's been my experience, over the years, that tourists love directions via traffic light number.... It does backfire if they're not sure what town they're in since Gatlinburg and pigeon forge both have numbered lights. Sevierville's a little different with their numbers!

Ryan I have been to both the Alpine Coaster and Goats on the Roof. The alpine coaster was my favorite. You are making me do homesick. We do that drive fron Pigeon Forge through Wears Valley to Townsend many times. We have been to Metcalf Bottoms. Micah is braver than I sm getting in that cold water. The hot dogs looked really good. Its great that you could share tjis timevwith some our your church family. Christian fellowship is a real blessing. That is a nice picnic area. Thsnks for snother great adventure. God bless

@@AdventureIsOutThere yep. Keep your eyes on Jesus and the prize and run the race faithfully. I have decided to follow Jesus no turning back, no turning back. The world behind me , the cross before me. No turning back, no turning back.

My wife and I plan to move to that region in a year or two, and will need a new church home. You mentioned that you were there with your church group. May ask what church do you attend and where is it located?

Metcalf Bottoms is a great place to bring your dog! The picnic area is open year round. The picnic area is located 13 miles from Gatlinburg traveling through the national park. It’s located beside the Little River. So during summer this is the perfect area to cool off with your pup! This is one of the best places that dogs are allowed in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park that they will enjoy!
