It's true that not many companies are making delta printers, which is why FLsun stands out as a pioneer in this field. They still have some areas to improve, but I’ve got the patience to see them reach their full potential. I purchased the FLsun v400 before and, though I encountered some minor issues, I have to commend their after-sales service for being really thoughtful and solving each problem patiently. With the new launch tomorrow, I’m interested to see how they’ll keep evolving. Also, your detailed insights into the FLsun T1 gave me a much better understanding of their recent developments-appreciate it!

This isn't reliable according to all the "Beta" testers right now. The bed magnet slides off if temps are 80c or above slowly, the heat rods don't last long, the camera mount is poorly made, the limit switches tend to stop the arms before the arms even reach the top, the accuracy on the z axis is inconsistent, the firmware freezes at times, the finished print screen doesn't go away unless you manually clear it, and if you clear it while another print is going the entire progress screen for new print disappears. Klipper locks out of web axis randomly, and much much more. This is a tinker printer and isn't beginner friendly. But it prints fast as heck so theres that

Yeah, the S1 and T1 are a case of investing heavily into one aspect of a printer (speed), while sacrificing other parts of the user experience. How important is it to you to have the fastest printer possible? Is it worth having something that is bigger, louder, and has a less polished user experience? To me it doesn't really make sense to go all-out for speed at the expense of other important features for a printer. But this does what it says on the tin - make printer go fast.

I think the P1S is a safe choice. The T1 is certainly capable of things the P1S is not, and could be a useful tool to add in the future. The T1 I'm using has been very reliable and dang fast - even when running at a comfortable cruising speed it's faster than the P1S at full throttle. That said the P1S has multi material options which the T1 does not, and that's a cool feature too. Have you received the P1S yet?

If anything I would have thought that the beds for a Delta be a Triangle than a circle, Because the main movements of the infector head system is a 3 point Triangle when running My FL Sun Delta QQ-S Pro sure is more likely to be doing triangle main movements over the round bed area than doing circle ones. As for the noisy cooling fan problem, I think that really Fl Sun should have just used a bigger 80 or 120 mm normal PC silent cooling fan up in the top of the printer with the right shaped encloser around the fan to force the air down the tube better it would have been almost silent yet powerful enough to cool the faster prints! New 3D printers have small fans for cooling in general some have say 50 mm or 60 mm cooling fans so fitting a 80 mm or 120 mm fan to the T1 and S1 would with the right design of fan housing kept the noise down to half of the noise it has now and cooled fine. in fact maybe water cooling tech from PC's could be used in these more pricey printers to do the same job and of course be less noisy than a very big loud turbine fan? I think all 3D printer companies need to do testing to see what they can do about cooling fan noise now as it seems that most printers are getting more loud due to faster klipper printing needs for cooling more! Seems daft to design a faster printer but forget to design a better cooling system that is lower in noise as they are selling these printers for a huge amount ( S1 ) for that amount users expect a better noise control.
@BitterCynical2 ай бұрын
A triangle bed would have a lot less area to build on, kind of want the build plate as big as possible to not limit what you can print as much. Also a typical axial PC fan is just terrible for 3D printers in general. It's neither good at creating a concentrated flow of air directly at the nozzle for part cooling, nor can they create sufficient pressure for long ducts which is why cars for cabin air use blowers. As long as the printing is fast I'm afraid noise is unavoidable. It's not just fans, the stepper motors also make a lot of noise. My K1C shakes the whole table while printing, I actually need to get some better furniture and maybe a concrete slab for it to sit on to reduce noise.

I already bought a K1C recently and it's been great for the PLA and PETG parts I've made so far. Yet to try more challenging materials. The whole delta thing is really cool to me, but unfortunately since I don't have the kind of money to just buy things for being cool I probably wouldn't have bought this tower of speed even if I didn't have the K1C already.

I would love to see a delta printer, that does not blow the part off, while still not using z-hop(all the while printing @ min. K1 SE is probably the best/cheapest option at $360 and you can find some discounts if you look around. Ironically the K1 SE will be better than the K1C at printing PLA-CF because it has a larger bend radius for the bowden tube. You don't need an enclosure for PLA-CF. But make sure to clearcoat or something if the parts will be in contact with skin.
With PETG, speed is a non issue, you cannot go > 80mm/s.

I like most of your content but these reviews for this and the other FLSUN one you seemed to glowingly review is giving me doubts as to whether I should keep supporting the channel. I was considering the S1 after your review but it was only available direct from their website and they have a not so great return policy (up to 30 days I think, but after 7 days you have to pay for the extremely expensive return shipping). Then other reviews started rolling in and the consensus from those were that it was a real POS (and the company was too). So hopefully this will be the last FLSUN one you review. I mean you are free to do what you want, and I'm free to do what I want, but this is just general feedback.

I was thinking about grilling them on the T1, but it genuinely seems better than the S1 in terms of compromising between value and speed. If it were my money i'd probably get a K1C, or A1 Mini, but these videos are for people who want to know more about these printers and see them work.
