What a treat. My wife and I love this road. We’ve stayed at the hotel in Kaslo a couple of times, and visited Sandon, the old ghost town. It’s still interesting to visit, and they have the old trolley busses from Vancouver that I remember when I was younger. A lot of Sandon got swept away in a flood, and I remember they had a whole street of old buildings that’s gone now. And then of course from Kaslo to Nelson, there’s the Ainsworth hot spring still very enjoyable, that I remember from 60 years ago.

These test pilots are super brave, I cant imagine the fortitude it takes to knowingly push these enormous machines to the limits of failure or even unrecoverable stalls etc

Planes have multiple redundancies built into all of its systems, so if there's a failure, they will be able to land safely. If you're referring to a catastrophic failure, then in most cases, they won't be able to 'get out' Catastrophic failure are rare though.
