They need to dress a Lancer up to celebrate the coming of the new year and xmas. It is one good looking aircraft.

The loudest plane I’ve ever heard as for sheer decibels. The loudest plane I’ve heard at idle is the A37 tweet. Ouch!!
@serioustoday9 күн бұрын
Its engines are like four F16 in extremely close formation. Or if you want one and half F15 or F18.

@ yep Had them at Edward’s AFB We were full military power on an F4 and it wasn’t like the plane was running after the B1 launched from end of runway.

How fast does that rotary launcher spin ?. Is there a maximum or minimum speed so it doesn't affect the weight and balance.

Will those B-1 fly to China soon?
@markbrisec39725 күн бұрын
Hardly, but JASSMs, LRASMs and soon some hypersonic missiles fired from the the B-One probably will..

B1-B ..Mach 1.25
@TeamDoc3129 күн бұрын
@denault3985 it's normally kept well below .96 mach. It cruises about 650mph. Push come to shove, they'll breach mach 1 if need be. Problem is that the airframe has been used and abused over the years, even more than the B-52, and its 20 years younger.

@@denault3985 my father worked at Rockwell NAAO..CITS Group as an SMTS..his 2 subsystems were WSWP and ECS ..that's wing sweep over wing fairing and environmental control systems..his group designed and tested the digital test requirements for the 28 subsystems on the B1-B...offices in a Lakewood..GRTs and flight tests at Edwards and Palmdale..if you can find a copy a good read is the CITS Cook Book...the air force wasn't 100% convinced about computers and digital systems..so the early B1-Bs had analog and digital displays and test points..he also told me what really caused the crash of a B1-B at Edwards during flight tests at the beginning of the program

Where’s the supersonic part
@ZacharySchmook9 күн бұрын
They rarely fly above mach .9 or so these days...they are 40+ year old airframes.

My 100% support for Women's Rights aside - Why is a woman narrating a story that's not only on aviation, but advanced aviation? Women make up under 5% of pilots. Therefore, unless there's some hard core sexism/DEI in the Air Force, women compose under 5% of military combat pilots. Additionally - I wager that women compose under 5% of the PhDs and other experts in the hard sciences that made this aircraft. Enough with the DEI hires, forced narratives, and social engineering.
