great video, i followed this video step by step but i faced "float point exception error" after clicking run calculation, what should i do?

Why are we not fusing all the interfaces as interiors?

Good video, here why you are making the surface_top to move with the flow. If wall body is moving in fluid the adjacent top_surface will not move in real scenario.

The Fluent manual is not clear about this but I guess this is merely for mesh generation and it doesn't mean that the flow in the top region is moving with the same speed. However, I am not sure about this. You need to run the flow simulation to ensure this statement.

Hi! It's a useful video! Can someone tell me how is build the x-motion profile? I'd like to kwon how to change it by my own depending on the movement I want to give (ex go back and forth, what speed and so on). Thank you in advanced!

Thanks. I briefly explained in the video. Just re-type what I showed and change the numbers...two number for the time indicates the beginning and end of motion, the same applies for v_x showing the respective velocities. if you need more info, search for how to write profiles for Fluent but if your motion is simple, you can use what I showed.

@@pulsedflowsolutions9058 thank you! I tried, changing positive values it works; but if I try to use negative value I do not manage. ex: ((x_motion 3 point) (time 0.001 0.002 0.003) (v_x 0.05 -0.05 0.05) and in the mesh motion preview I use 0.001 for the timestep size and I set 300 as number of time steps. I've also read about how to write profile in Fluent now as you said, trying to use this ((x_motion transient 3 0) in order to assign different values at velocity, but it doesn't work too. Last question is if you have an idea for this? anyhow thankyou!
