The only thing stopping me buying it is not being able to see some live example sites using it and not being able to find out how it would integrate with an existing site with an existing top menu. I'd like my users to have a seamless experience as much as possible so that the 'community' menu option is on the same site wide menu.

I'm sure Fluent Community will only get better over time. I'm involved with a project that includes creating a member directory, where members can list products and services for sale as part of their member profile. They would like to have this ready in the next month. What plugin(s) would you propose I look at for this type of thing?

Well, not sure FluentCommunity YET has the ability to put that kind of content into a member profile. Aside from that, tho, I dunno.... first thing that comes to mind might be to use ACF to build it out and Fluent Forms for people to submit listings. But, haven't researched it. There may be faster ways (and likely is).
