And then there's the pronounciation, which is hard because a lot of English sounds does not exist in that language. For example: it's way easier to pronounce Jimin (in both languages) than to pronounce bathe (th sound doesn't exist) To a native speaker of english, it may seem easy but english is one of the hardest languages to learn. Whereas you can learn basic conversational Korean in less than 3 months. And if you listen to kpop or watch kdramas it won't even take that long 😊. And Hangul (the written language of Korea) is also super easy to learn. But of course, unless you actually try and want to learn it, it will seem difficult even though it's wayy easier than english. English is so hard, American students fail english all the time 😂😂.

Why you ask, it's the hardest because we have so many words that sound the same (Sun and Son, the letter "C" sea, see) or words that even though there is one spelling for said word it may mean something totally different depending on what you are talking about ("bare" with me or what's the "bare" minimum and that's not including "bare" and "bear"). Then we have alot of words to describe one thing (lake, ocean, sea, beach = large body of water) when other languages have one word to describe one thing or no word at all. So yeah English is very hard to learn.

as someone who speaks two languages, he makes me feel better about it because although i am not completely as fluent in my second language, just as he is in korean.. he still understands and makes an effort. though i would say his korean is good due to the fact that i have been following him for a while. im the same with my second lanuage. i switch from both languages in conversations at times. just as he has his band members who understand him, as i do with my family members and some friends. its a relief and honestly so proud of how far he has come with learning korean.

Poor sweetie. That had to be tough in the beginning. I’ve lived & worked in other countries and ppl do think its funny & cute to put you on the spot sometimes and it is so difficult and cringey. Yet, those moments make you stronger over time but still aren’t easy to go through. It is extremely hard to learn a new language & culture and then be immersed immediately. Especially as an adult you lose part of your ability to fully express yourself in some of the most basic situations. It can be a wonderful experience but incredibly frustrating and isolating at times as well. I support anyone willing to learn. Felix is amazing!

I'm currently learning Korean and the feeling of utter frustration is probably the closest I'll ever come to an idol. Im not sure I'd have handled the situation as well as he did at his age.
