I dare say, the "Buttered Kitten" game is strong in this episode 😹😹😹 So much fluffy goodness! And thank you so much for the Sparkling Cider hat love, Isabelle. 💖 I am SO with you on the Make Nine Challenge. It was fun to compile the list, but I'm not holding myself to it. Here's to making the things that bring you joy, in the moment!

That fingering+fluffy lace combination is simply blissful! Now I will always think of my Romy as my Buttered Kitten sweater 😹😹 I really know what you mean about the fun of making lists but also, letting go of the lists! :) 💖💖💖

Bonjour Isabelle, to avoid mending elbows I would make patches but put them on the inside of each elbow. Also by doing so you don’t have to worry about matching the yarn. Just a tip that came to me at 3:50 a.m. jamb packed show. All lovely work . I agree, let us enjoy our knitting without pressure or competition. Cheers, 🇨🇦

The fabric you showed is gorgeous! I can’t wait to see what you make with the fabric you have left. The blouse you’ve already made is lovely! I am so sorry you are having health issues. It sounds like you are working on finding ways to accommodate your body’s needs, even though it means making some changes. I’m wishing patience and courage for you as you make these changes. ❤️

Hi, Isabelle! As always, you are a delight to watch. I would like to take the time to thank you for adding the time stamps in every episode. It's very considerate of you. More power and hope you will be more able to handle and live with your health issue. We just have to take what Life deals to us and power through and not let that defeat us. Take care!

Thank you for telling me the time stamps are useful! We all have such busy lives and I know we can't all watch everything in every single podcast. Thank you for your warm, uplifting words!! I wish you much joy in your making! :)

Hi Isabelle -- so nice to see you and your wonderful making. I love your mending endeavors and am also interested myself in darning techniques. I'm thinking about doing a video about it ...sometime. Thanks for keeping me company on this snowy winter day. I was spinning some Zwartbles fiber while watching. 🙂💙

Hello, Kristine! Thank you so much for watching and for taking the time to leave a comment. I am so glad I could keep you company while you were spinning! A darning video from you would be wonderful. :D Have a wonderful Sunday!

Hi Isabelle, I have just discovered your podcast and really enjoyed it. Your husband's jumper and all your makes are beautiful. You could consider sewing a contrasting patch on the elbows of your husband's jumper - maybe mid to dark brown leather or imitation leather. Looking forward to seeing your pretty blue jumper finished. Take care of yourself and don't push yourself too hard. A big hug from me! x

Bonjour Isabelle. I had some catching up to do, cause I missed some due to various reasons.... How sorry to hear you have such health issues that it isn't going to be better. It must be very difficult to accept that and it will take some time. How great therefor that you are going to EYF! What a sweet friends you have to look after you 👍🏼 The mending part of your podcast is great! It gives me a little push to actually do some mending eventhough I don't like it. Seeïng your mending work is a kind of inspirational 🙂. Wow what a lovely cast-ons you have done. The yarns and colours are so you. I wish you happy knitting and sewing (love your new blouse!). Greetings Marjan 🌷

Hi Isabelle, thank you again for another beautiful podcast, I was indeed able to relax and knit while watching you share your projects. I love everything you are working on. Sewing is hard for me, but I love it, I have trouble picking fabrics to match my pattern, yours always look perfect.

Hello Kathy! Thank you so much for taking the time to leave your kind comment. I am so glad I could keep you company whilst you had a happy moment of making. I know what you mean about how tricky it can be to find the right pattern and fabric combination - it is perhaps the most challenging aspect in sewing! Believe me, I still spend hours agonising over choices! I wish you much joy in your making. Thank you again Kathy!

It's always a pleasure to visit with you. As someone who lives with chronic health issues, I wish you all the best, with days filled with good health. My crafts have saved my sanity for sure during those not so good days, weeks. I'm in the process of "tidying up" our house and for some of the things that cannot be passed on to others I have sat down and cut off most of the buttons and zippers to use in future mending projects or even new projects. The same goes for some clothing that could be repurposed in some way. Have a wonderful weekend!

Thank you for your message of empathy! Where would we be without our making, eh? I too have a stash of zippers and buttons from garments that were too old to be saved - my older sister also saves buttons for me from garments she is about to throw away, which is so sweet of her. Often these are so pretty, aren't they? :) I hope you have a wonderful Sunday!

About relaxing, I think the opening of your podcasts are delightful with your clips of knitting or outdoor life set to piano music. The soothing notes instantly remove all the day's stresses so that I can sit back and enjoy your updates. Cheers!

Thank you so much for this feedback - it means a lot! This is exactly what I hope to achieve with these short openings. If you need another relaxing podcast about knitting (and in case you don't watch them already), I warmly recommend the Kammebornia Podcast. Their episodes are truly therapeutic.

Thank you for taking the time to record a video for us. A couple of years ago my puppy chewed a hole in my brand new sweater I just knitted. The lovely Ann Budd and her Craftsy Class “Save Our Stitches, Fixing Knitting Mistakes” came to my rescue. She has a section on repairing holes in knitwear. Check her website because she may had blogged about fixing holes there. If not, I do recommend her class.

Hello Isabelle 😊 Regarding mending the elbows of sweaters. I have seen lovely knitted seed stitch patches which are shaped like leather elbow patches. I quite like them because they match the colour and texture of the sweater fabric. Although you could knit them in a contrasting colour to make them more fun. It isn’t something I’ve tried yet but would definitely consider.

Hi. I really enjoyed the podcast.l liked the mending part, I love it working with my hands relaxes me.The blouse was wonderful,so pretty, your fabrics are so nice I would love to be able to buy French fabrics☺️ The 3third one you were not sure what to do, you could make a pair of pants with wider fabric so it would be very flows, they are great comfortable in spring and summer.I love your Title sewing area. Take good care of your self, have some time each week to pamper yourself, I have chronic pain etc... so I need to be conscious about taking care of myself. Lol 🌹

Another lovely video full of inspiration for me. I am also searching for pattern to use this pretty drapy material I have and would love to know who makes the Clarice dress. Your blouse and jumper were lovely, you do seem to choose the right pattern for the fabric always.
@FluffyFibers5 жыл бұрын
Hello! The dress I mentioned is Clarisse by Chez Machine Patterns. I had a very hard time with this pattern however so whilst I love the finished result, I don't feel I can wholeheartedly recommend it - a few pattern pieces were missing and the bodice was very difficult to fit. I shared my experience in episode 66 as well as on an Instagram post from a few weeks ago. Happy sewing!! :)
