I got that deka as well, it’s the brush I’ve always been looking for with powder foundation. I got the regular deka a few years ago but returned it because it poked my face. This brush is so much softer!

i love my original fupa2, i didn't purchas the pink but kind of wish i had. The new Deka fupa i did pick up, i've been using it the last few weeks also love the white LE handle version. it looks and feels great.

Great review. I really really want one of the new red handled deka fupa now after watching this, but not going to do it - will patiently wait for the pink handled to return. Have noticed am using koyudo alot. My favourite bronzer brush is the BP005, which I was lucky to receive as a blind date brush. Its not the softest, but applies a natural bronzed finish like no other brush - I think because its not the softest. I have the bisyodo foundation brush, and rarely use it because the long handle annoys me.. much prefer short handled foundation brushes.

Thank you! I don't have the BP005 but it looks lovely for bronzer! That is an interesting observation about the longer handles, I also prefer shorter handles for foundation!!

A very nice review of these relaunched brushes. Thank you! Can you use liquid foundation or cream blushes with the Koyudo Deka Fupa brush? What brush cleaner would be best to clean these natural hair Koyudo or Chikuhodo bristles?

Thank you for watching! Yes you can but as you pointed out cleaning will be a bit difficult because of how densely packed the bristles are. For deep cleaning of liquid and cream products I like to use the Beauty Blender Solid. The most important thing is to try to use something without alcohol in the ingredient list as alcohol can be very drying

Thank you so much for the comparisons. I don’t have any of these, and couldn’t get info from Fude Beauty about how big the brush heads actually are. Are the deka brushes able to fit into the contours of the face, or do they mainly deal with the cheeks, forehead, and chin (and you need another brush for the smaller regions)? TIA!

Of course! Thank you for watching! I find the Koyudo Deka suitable for all areas of the face except the immediate undereye area but I always use a separate brush for the undereye anyways. I think it works well for all of the contours of the face!

I thought the Koyudo Premium Goat/Sq brush was softer than the single Koyudo Monochrome brush. In comparison the Monochrome brush had more goat hair 😞

Thank you for sharing! I don't have many from the Koyudo Premium Series, just this one cheek brush and an eye brush. Both of mine are soft, but I was surprised the by the softness of the monochrome cheek brush, perhaps I got extra lucky
