Just found you by searching what was boom gel stain. I have to say I’m going to watch u now. Just learning. Waiting on all my product to come in. But I saw a heart on fb by someone and I was totally floured with its beauty. She used boom stain so I didn’t know. Glad I google and found you. This above again is just awesome simple colorful and beautiful. I think you did this on top of a ceramic tile?
@casscreationsboomgelstain53244 жыл бұрын
HI Deanne. I am so glad you found us. Honestly Boom is awesome! Once you get your product if you have any questions please ask. Less is best with Boom usually, a little goes a long way. This piece is a ceramic tile your corect. The Heart canvas your referring to may be mine, I just finished one this week. I went with softer shades and I think it is really pretty too, may have to try that colour combination again. We also have a Facebook group which is fantastic (a page too but the group is awesome) and very friendly. Stay safe and well!! Cass

@alicealice36856 жыл бұрын
Beautiful work! I love the colors you chose. I use metallics in nearly all my paintings with copper being a favorite. I was curious if you’ve ever tried these Gel Stains in Resin, if they hold up or if they lose their pigmentation & become too transparent or can you simply add more stain to the resin to adjust the color depth. We have something similar in the US, Gel Stains called Unicorn Spit. I have yet to use either but after seeing your work with the Boom brand I’d want to give them a go. I’ve been to their website already. I’ll have to inquire about shipping costs. Thanks so much for the video! As an aside, I don’t even think you realized it which made it even better but super funny comment in a completely serious tone, “excuse all my breathing... but...this is a video about blowing” and went back to your straw, 😂 Those are the best times, when your painting with a friend who starts crying from laughing but you have no idea why until they point out just how funny you are, then you both laugh about it for an hour. ☺️ Your tone with the statement, completely funny to me, reminded me of a friend back home, I appreciated the laugh, so thanks for that as well!! All the best to you!! 💕

Sinew Minew Hi again. Im sorry i got so excited about all the lovely things you wrote that i forgot to answer your question 😜 Yes Boom can be added to resin. Most of the colours look amazing a few aren't as great. I don't work with resin a lot but others on our fb group Boom gel stain work with resin and Boom combination frequently. Worth a look as some stunning work has been done. Of course you can also resin on top of Boom. If you have any questions please ask and i promise i will answer.

@casscreationsboomgelstain53244 жыл бұрын
Difficult question to answer due to the variables however if doing a large piece a mist spray bottle can be handy. I did a very large canvas using this technique and it took me 5 hours. I did keep it moist with frequent mist sprays of water. As long as Boom us wet you can continue to add to it and it will still dry completely level. I really haven't had to mist apart from this one time. I hope that helps. 😄

@casscreationsboomgelstain53245 жыл бұрын
Hi Larraine. Your most welcome. With this technique I use Boom gel stain straight from the bottle, no diluting. I do on occasion add some water to my background colour or one of my colours to alter the viscosity and bring about different effects. Most of the time however I just use Boom as it is. If you are selling your work and decide to add water I recommend distilled water then you keep your piece archival.

Absolutely you can. You won't get the same results but something similar. I am not sure what acrylics are best suited but there is a Facebook group and some on there will use different bases or combinations of acrylics and Boom. This was a 25cm square tile (from memory) and my base would only be 20ml approximately, so it isn't much product. Boom is very stretchy and a little goes a long way.

christophe durand Hi . Yes absolutely! You will need to seal it. Boom should be left for 7 days to cure before sealing. You would need to use a marine/bathroom sealer to seal your tiles. Your local hardware would be able to recomend an appropriate sealer. 😃

Cass your work is very beautiful. I would like to try it. Where can I buy those products. I live in north America. Do you have a website. God bless you.

Thank you so much Sara. We do have a website and while you can't purchase through there due to location you have the option to email me. I can then forward information for international clients as we have package deals. We do have a stockist based on the Canadian border, I am geographically challenged so not sure if that is suitable however Susan does post. Her details are on the website under retailers tab. I will pop up a link to that for you. I hope you and your family have a wonderful New year. Boomgelstain.com

@@casscreationsboomgelstain5324 Cass thank you for the quick response. Yes I will check out the supplier but it is also sold on eBay Canada. I really, really for the blossoms. Please tell me what to buy. I do pottery and I want to find a way of using that method. I have been blowing glaze onto mugs and they are unique but your style will change things. Can you make rapping paper out of those patterns? Good Morning your side or even afternoon. Sara

@@sarapeace7570 I used Boronia Burgundy, Metallic Copper, and Stirling Wax White. If dping on paper I think it would work but it would need to be very thick paper and perhaps a high gloss as this would reduce warping of the paper. Cards would be easier due to the thickness. I would apply a white background but keep it very thin so perhaps a sponge brush to apply the background (i do this to apply a very thin background and it works for me). On pottery as long as the area is flat, so a plate or tray for example. If curved then small areas at a time. I would love to see your results, I am very excited. If you have any issues please let me know, we can figure things out together. 😉

Is the Boom Archival?? TY

Franki B Hi Franki. Boom uses only colour safe pigments. I still however seal my pieces with a UV stable sealer for extra protection. Our sealer is UV stable, food safe, and suitable for outdoors. 😁

Dear, I must say that I really enjoy watching you work and I love what you're doing. I have to ask, where did you pick up the use of the word " youS??? I don't imagine they use it in the land where you arr from. Did you pick it up from someone from New York City? The only people I've heard use are from there. I'd love to see you shake the habit. I know, I'm really nervy. What can I say?!? Yes, I am. I wish you the best. Your work is fantastic💞

Hi Virginia Thank you so very much. I am located in Western Australia. A friend of mine also pointed out "yous" and until then I wasn't aware I did it. Obviously a bad habit I have picked up which I hope to be rid off soon 😂
