@@TheDurbinCompound I have these testers but when testing current I have to hold the wire at the top of the jaws then when I put it between the two lines it doesn't show a ready is this right?

Clamps have the following advantages: - fit in tight spots, can be used to hang meter anywhere, make sure you measure only one conductor in a bundle, require 2 cm depth beyond the conductor, can take larger dia conductors, can hold in place multiple conductors when they spring.

I have a t5-1000 but the volts setting doesn’t have a decimal place. To me that’s a big problem esp on DC systems with lower voltage. Difference between 12.5 and 12.0!on a car battery for example is substantial and not detectable by this meter

i have this and use it every day...i keep it in my veto pro pac MB2 bag for quick diagnosis....my main meter is the Fluke 374FC....i only use fluke meters....the best 👍

can you attach a clamp on the back with a magnet? so you can attach it to a panel or something while taking measurements.

T5-600 is a pretty good meter for 90% of what needs doing.

@@TheDurbinCompound Hii glad you all love fluke. me too. btw, it is not just $100, here in germany it sold around 150 euro. can you tell me if this meter can be use to tell phase rotation of 3 phases wire ? i use dual pole meter for 3 phases rotation check.. i don't know if this t5-600 have the function or not. can anybody tell me. thx

One thing I've been trying to figure out is the three screws under the calibration sticker in the battery compartment. Anyone know anything about them aside from the obvious don't screw around with them? (It was intentional) I tried looking it up but being the irritatingly proprietary and Applesqe type of company that Fluke is, there's no information beyond offered calibration services with nothing but one link after another to their information-lacking pages. I'm guessing each screw is an adjustment screw for each test feature but it would be nice to know just what goes on there. I just like understanding the things I own.

This is perfectly fine to test a battery. This is a multimeter. Meaning it measures multiply things
