watching this in 2015, a year after George Jung's release, makes me fell really really old! i remember watching Blow when it first came out! and watching it over and over and over for months on end! it's most definitely one of my favorites of all time! and as far as George goes... drug dealer or not, i admire him! in this business, you don't have guys like him growing on trees! never killed anyone, never fucked anyone over (besides his daughter and himself, but people make mistakes, and he knows he made that mistake).

Poor Johny has had it pretty rough in some of his movies xD. He was attacked by Freddy Krueger in the 1st and 6th NOES movies, he had Christopher Lee (aka the creepiest dentist EVER) for a father, he's been eaten by the Kraken, and has been in Davy Kones locker just to name a few movies. He's a cool dude nonetheless.

It must be hard for him to pick characters that will be good because all he see's is a sheet of paper with what the character says and does. He can do as much research as he wants but at the end of the day he will never know if his portrayal will be good or bad. Take the tourist film that was terrible but the same kind of film as blow in the sense he is a normal guy. Or Edward Scissorhands and Willy Wonka. It's impossible to tell and he's hardly going to back out once he has signed the contract.
