When you say that "intensity" and wavelength" are inversely related around 9:20, do you mean to say that the frequency and wavelength are inversely related by c=freq*wavelength. What I was always taught was that intensity was a measure of the number of photons hitting something. And I assume that's what you mean. Just curious, and wondering if anybody else caught that.

about 8:40. My bad. Also, you say frequency, and wavelength, but are writing intensity, so I guess you clarified :)

Do you really think that the intensity is inversely proportional to the wavelength??..If that was so, then the famous photoelectric effect would have been proven wrong.!! I donno whether it is different here...! Would you please clarify that to me..??
@Ahmed.Kazaili
@Ahmed.Kazaili 8 жыл бұрын
+Krishnendu P S The intensity of green light is low , the wavelength is high. The intensity of green light is high , the wavelength is low, it means the wavelength goes to near infrared .
@arunjay9839
@arunjay9839 6 жыл бұрын
+Krishnendu P S E=hc/wavelength, Intensity is energy per second, So intensity is directly proportional to energy and inversely propotional to wavelength. Even the photo electric effect says the same E=hv , where v is the frequency , v=1/wavelength. State your facts correct.
@ytuber754
@ytuber754 5 жыл бұрын
@@arunjay9839 Intensity is related to the number of photons. You can have green light with varying intensity. Meaning, you can increase or decrease the number of photons with the same wavelength each having the same energy E=hv but total energy that you get is E=nhv where n is the number of photons. Intensity is related to the total energy so it is not related to the wavelength. More intensity doesn't mean high photon energy.
