I'm a month late, however I am looking to start powder coating for my automotive shop that we have started up... watching all the different techniques you have is very helpful and will be checking out your tools one as well to see where I want to start in that section.. my daughter wants her car sublime green so the color in this video really helps with how to powder both her rims and suspension definitely going with the white base thats the end color she is looking for.... As an evo owner, those mivec (evo 9) valve covers are 100% discontinued since 2010. The prices for a used one is 700+ IF YOU FIND AN IDIOT willing to sell it. Because no one lets them go.

Why do you switch to the longer nozzle on the second coats? Is there a benefit to it?

Just a suggestion... do a bit more filming of a finished product, from different angles with more closeup shots to show off the great quality of work that you do. That’s one thing I always look forward to as your vids nearing the end, but I seldom get what I’m looking for :( you do awesome work! Show it off more !

I just shot shocker yellow over gloss white. Turned out very fluorescent yellow.

I am really lost on how to charge for my service. I am at logging my hours spent on items therefore I charge 100 bucks per hour and put the hours spent on the invoice. I am just not sure; I may not be at optimal. I know all pc's are priced at different ranges so it's to each ones needs or where they place the value in their work. Maybe after a few more months I'll be able to narrow down my pricing. Always open to advice!

I started my pricing based on competition around me. thats really the best advice I can give you. Call local places and pretend to be a potential customer, get prices and figure out where you wanna be. You can also ask stuff like this in the UKC Army Group on Facebook. Lots of helpful advice in there

I my self have an evo done my valve cover and friends liked it so did few valve covers little did i know this that magnesium valve covers its risky to put in paint stripper but been running with luck that nothing has happened

What brand powder do u use? I just watched episode 108 ( glowing yellow over clean white ). I got swatches from prismatic powders because i wanna do my rims on my all black gsxr1000. The swatches i got are either a tiny bit too yellow or a tiny bit too green. This combo in ur video is perfect, so i wanna order from ur powder supplier

Do you have a problem with grounding between coats, using the same hanger than has been coated? I find myself swapping for a "clean" hook and running a small file thru the hole to make sure ground is good.

No because if the hook is touching a part there can't be powder between it as a result of the first coat

I am wanting to restore one of my 80s freestyle bike frames, and its an85 Haro master with a florecent green over white, but im having trouble finding the correct green. I dont know if its going to be Eastwoods sour apple green over white or would it be a Prismatic opaque green over white, or was this green achieved by closely guarded recipe by the company. Are you familiar with these company/ colors?

Bro if you got multiples parts to coating did you first coated all the parts then put it on the oven or while you paint 1 parts the other is already on oven?

If I have a lot of parts going the same colors I put the parts that will cure the fastest in first and work forward
