I am stitching "Heart of the Garden" by June Armstrong at Bothy Threads even tho it's not spring yet. It is also wonderful to catch up with the family news... Hi there young ladies, what a great video, loved all of it. I was working on my great grandsons Tommy’s quilt, he’s going to be 2 at the end of this month, on one side of it is a map of Australia and numerals and then on the other side are mini cars and Thomas the tank engine, I’ve been blanket stitching around the cars and Thomas the Tank engine. Hello! While I watched this replay today I stitched the Just CrossStitch 2022 Special Holiday Issue, Christmas Ornaments, Snowy Greetings (a postcard) by Olena Khirkh-Yalan - Living on the Rainbow. This is my 2nd one, the first I made and gave to my girlfriend for Christmas! The other ornament I made out of this magazine from this past Christmas as well, same magazine, for her and myself, so 2 of them, was Jolly Snowman by Tangled Threads and Things, Rhona Norrie. BOTH are so cute!!! I would have had my set done, but I had to empty out the back bedroom which was my craft room! OMG!! 16 YEARS of stuff was in there! I had to completely empty it! Things had to go on hold for a bit....THEN I found FlossTube!!!! And YOU TWO!!!! You gave me the inspiration to get this back out and get to stitching again!!! Thank you sooooo much!!!!!! I feel "whole" again!!! I NEEDED this back in my life!!! Someone temporarily needed to stay in that room, and it's OVER this Friday, so the cross-stitching helped me to KEEP my sanity through this ALL!!! I had creativity back in my life and the relaxation this brings to us! Thank YOU TWO dearly!!!!! Life HAS been QUITE the challenge here of late! You can't begin to know how MUCH finding you two has helped me! And to SEE YOUR FRIENDSHIP together - golden!!!!! I can't wait for the next video! ALL Notifications are ON! And I DID SEE an older video, one section of it where you turn your Settings ON so you two can see who is subscribed! I'll have to make sure mine is set to that - although I am VERY technologically challenged - we'll see if I am able to do it?? Yikes! Lol!!! I will try!!! I figure if I saw that little section from an OLDER video - it was meant to be!!! Yes!!! I'm off to try that NOW!!!! Again, you two ARE a blessing!!!!!

Liz, I have a monopoly pattern too, from Etsy. The designer was kind enough to customize it for Phoenix so I'm excited to see it finished. It's going to be my April start. Deb, I love Serenity Harbor. The pattern is beautiful and your stitching is awesome. I would never have thought to make the water green and yet as I look at yours, I would never even question that decision. I love the videos where we can just stitch together.

Love these flosstubes- it’s like we are in the same room stitching! I was stitching on Sarah Boone School Sampler by Cat’s Cradle Needleworks. My dog Molly was looking for Charlie. She could near Charlie chewing on his bone and she would walk over and sit in front of the TV and stare at the screen. Have fun in Vegas Deb! I love Vegas! Liz, I totally understand what you were saying about helping the kids with homework- I usually have to google their assignment and watch a video so I can help them. One of their teachers told my grandchild to tell me to stop helping them because while they had the right answers I was confusing them with the old ways and learning the process was more important than getting the answer right-that it has been proven that the old way of teaching math showed you don’t retain the information-I sent a note back saying that I’m in my 60’s and I still can add, subtract, multiply and divide very quickly and the simple problems I can do in my head. it doesn’t take me 10 steps to do one problem and I added my 90 year old mother can still add and subtract in her head. The teacher told my grandchild to humor me and let me think I’m helping but just ignore anything I said as I was elderly and didn’t understand and that perhaps her grandparents didn’t fully understand how math impacts so much in life that it’s the process not the answer that’s important. That teacher didn’t think my grandchild would tell me what she said. 😂 so when my daughter and son in law had to sign the test that came home the following week my son in law wrote on it that since the process was correct according to what the teacher wrote on the test but she got 2 answers wrong the correct grade should be an A since according to the teacher the answer being right wasn’t important. 😄

The look on Liz’s face when Deb moved the basket with her pattern was priceless. How big is Charlie going to get! Sounded like a giant termite chewing that bone before you said what the noise was. I was waiting for the two of you to suddenly disappear through the floor! You two are making me melancholy remembering my grandparents farmhouse and laying by the register over the kitchen listening to the adults talking after we were sent to bed. Front stairs and back stairs………That was the most awesome house for a kid to grow up in.

Omg ladies I had the best time today stitching with you. I stitch all alone I have 4grown daughters. But they have no interest in my sewing quilting or stitching. Poor hubby takes me to all the quilt shops and stitching stores. But when I started watching your video and saw that you were going to stitch I got my wip out set up my little stitch area and restarted the video. I said to hubby omg I’ve got someone to stitch with today. And I got so much done. Please please do this again. I loved to hear all about the children and grand babies. It was great. Hubby and I go to Pennsylvania every spring we stay at the Best Western in intercourse. Right across the street from the country kettle kitchen. Oh would I love to some day run into the two of you. Such a nice afternoon to sit and stitch with you two! Deb - beware of Las Vegas winter weather! It DOES get cold and VERY windy there! I was there just last week (end of February); there was sleet three different times during the four days we were there - with lows around freezing and highs in mid-40s, but a windchill which made it feel freezing. It may be desert, but it still gets freezing! Have fun - Stitchers Paradise is a nice shop to visit!

Absolutely love how you both work together. We used to have a quilting/stitching group that met once a month. It was always so much fun with the chatting, helping, giggling, and the coffee drinkin’. FYI, don’t ever make amaretto cake and then stitch and cut fabric. 😂😂😂😂😂. It was a rough night, but dang it left great memories. I was stitching the word Hope with the colors purple and teal. My really good friend lost her son to suicide a few years back. Ever since then she has put on a walk to raise money and awareness for suicide prevention. I always help. It is called Out of the darkness. This year because some of us love to cross stitch. We are holding a retreat to raise money in April. There one of the things is to make ornaments with the word Hope. And the plan is to do a tree at our State Capital. I am helping to make the display pieces on how you can do the ornaments. It is nice to listen to great friends have fun,while I work.
