Nice video showing the flush setup. Thanks. I take my thermostats out and do a barnicle buster flush with a fountain water pump every time I drop the lower unit to replace the impeller. Let that barnicle buster cycle for about an hour while I replace the impeller in the lower. A lot of scale at the bottom of the barrel every time. Good stuff.

Parts all oem. New impeller and housing. Fired it up no pissing. I performed your procedure 1st pass nothing. Walked back home for a pair of pliers. It soaked, engine off for 1/2 hour. Fired it back up. Pissing like a race horse! Flushed with clean water for 25 minutes. I'm now off to Strom Thurmond lake happy and full of confidence in the motor. Oh, found a small blob of brown crap in the bottom of the turkey pot. That was the blockage. New thermostat. The piss water is not even warm either. You're the man! End-of-happy-rant. Thanks man.

Ajax down ph=9-10 vinegar= 3-4 when you mix an acid with a base they will cancel eachother out with a ph of about 7 like pure water.. so if this should work? you most use one adiative at a time.

Just did this, 150gal tank, yamaha 115, used 3 gal vinegar and entire bottle of dawn. However, dawn didn't get completely tucked into intake screen, parts of it kinda floated into tank. Also powered exhaust completely dry, no soap or anything coming through. Is that normal?

@@raymondnybakk1311 that I don't know, I know that vinegar is aggressive to aluminum so not sure if it works in high concentration but he use low concentration frequently (he said 1-2 times) a month and by white foam you can see it works. Detergent probably stop all processes after. I guess he knows what he is doing.

That's 100 to 1 dilution ratio on the vinegar I don't see how that's going to be strong enough to do anything
@hrvojelasic57946 ай бұрын
white foam proves it is effective to some degree, also he says he does it once or twice a month, which is pretty often, so I guess it doesn't add up. My concern is that vinegard is aggressive to aluminum but maybe a second part with detergent fixes it. Obviously, he is quite knowledgeable.

I use vinegar and baking soda. When the water in the water outlet is low, I pump the mixture of vinegar and baking soda up through the outlet hole with a syringe.
@capelee18 ай бұрын
Look it up---vinegar is an acid, baking soda is a base, when mixed together they neutralize each other. Better to use the vinegar first and then follow it with the baking soda, then each do their own thing. [Unfortunately people confuse the fizzing that happens when they are mixed, with cleaning. I did, too, until I got suspicious and looked it up!]

There can be no proof this restores or maintains coolant flow rate without measuring the amount of water entering the cooling system and measuring what comes out the other end over a given amount of time compared to what the flow rate was when the motor was new. Also there is no visual benefit that can be taken from this video as nothing was disassembled to show the inside of the cooling system before or after the flush proving corrosion buildup removal. The outside of the engines look new? OK.

The guy didn’t have to prove you or anybody else about what he does with his motors, didn’t have to take anything apart to show you the results of his method, one thing is for sure, the shit works, I tried it, I did take pictures before and after and to my surprise it did clean, so, if you don’t believe the guy or not is your problem.

Ouch, lighten up. Look, why do people make these kinds of videos…mostly to help others I’m guessing. I think the guy you jumped all over is just pointing out, if you’re trying to help others, how about some proof as to what it’s actually doing. No, the guy that made the video doesn’t HAVE to prove to this guy or anyone for that matter but you gotta know there would and will be skeptics and rightfully so, this isn’t some cheap toy to be doing just anything to. BTW, I work in a marine service center. But certainly some type of proof would add another level of legitimacy to this video, maybe even earning the poster a few more 'Likes'. Something even as simple as starting with a clean tank, draining the tank after the treatment through a mesh strainer and showing scale or whatever, anything supporting the treatment would be something, better than nothing. Ya know, too many people today just gobble up what anybody posts on the Internet WITHOUT question and there are a lot of dumb*ss people posting videos on subjects they aren’t experts in or even exceptionally knowledgeable in. There is absolutely no reason that the OP shouldn’t question this treatment. Not sure why you felt the need to jump this guy’s ass…the guy that made the video (Bottom Fishing 24-7) didn’t see a need to do it either. Ever heard of constructive criticism…just say’in. How ‘bout you Bottom Fishing 24-7…your thoughts?
