It’s such a shame this movie flopped at the box office! It’s genuinely a funny, charming, creative movie about rats living under the drains of London. The characters are charming, the humour is top notch, the soundtrack slaps, the Minion-esque Slugs are adorable, the villains are hysterical, and yes, the animation is spectacular. Sure, it’s not Aardman’s iconic claymation, but for their first CG feature, this movie’s animation looks phenomenal. It’s aged gracefully and it’s still in the style of claymation, so you can still tell it’s Aardman (unlike some other movies). Overall, this is just a fun time. It deserved more than what it got and it’s a shame its failure caused Aardman and DreamWorks to part ways.

Same here!! I remember my mom took me to see this movie, never would we have guessed that in 12 and a half years, we’d get to see Hugh show his pipes on stage! We saw Hugh live and he sang songs from The Greatest showman along with les miserables and more! Near the end, he saw my poster and pointed at me and said “Yes I see you!” I had never been so happier in my life!
