Flushing the Air Conditioning System - MAHLE Installation Video

Here are the most important steps for flushing the refrigerant circuit:
1. Draw off refrigerant completely
2. Remove the compressor
3. Remove and bypass the dryer or accumulator and throttle or expansion valve
4. Connect the connecting hose from the flushing kit to the high-pressure line on the vehicle
5. Connect the red service line to the low-pressure line on the vehicle
6. Connect the blue service hose to the flushing kit outlet (filter)
7. Flush the circuit against the direction of refrigerant flow
8. Replace parts that were removed, replace seals
9. Bleed the system and fill with refrigerant
10. Carry out a final performance and leakage test

Wherever I have worked, the rule is that if an A/C compressor fails for any reason, the system is flushed. It doesn't matter whether contaminants can be seen in the refrigerant oil or not.
