I would have to say the title is a bit clickbait/misleading. This is a good video on how you should practice music...

I admit that O was a little skeptic when I started watching this.. but there are a lot of good point outs.. I have tried to learn Lonely Shepherd by panflute and I see that almost everytime I make a mistake I start the whole piece right at the beginning.. it really does get boring quickly.. I learn the melody and I can pretty much remember how the notes goes.. but it's been 1,5 months and I haven't played the piece through once. Maybe it's time to change the way of learning. :)
