I also just started playing WoW with the hype around the HC addon. I had no interest in the game for my whole life, but being that I play a lot of other games (mostly ARPGs) in Hardcore mode it seemed like the perfect time to try it out. I've been having a blast! I think the unofficial version was a lot more intense, basically being solo self-found... but I'm having a lot of fun on official. Chatting with random people and grouping up to quest. It's fun to experience WoW for the first time... even if it's 20 years later than intended.

Hey I started warlock as well..... remember mechanical creatures are immune to VW taunt.....i did not know that

Use. The pet. The pet must go in and take the heat. Even the lowly imp has its uses as a tank. Edit: the pet bar is accessible by Ctrl+1,2,3... etc. These shortcuts will save you when you get into a pickle.
