I feel like if we are taking 1s (firstkiller pick) into account you just have to give one of these seasons to Fairy Peak, he looked virtually unbeatable for over a year and I would argue he was more dominant in the 1s scene during that time than even old Dignitas was in 3v3

Hairy Freak! Is or maybe was the most well rounded player ever for me. He was also probably the biggest ranked warrior in the game too, achieving rank 1 in multiple game modes far more than other players. He gets overlooked a bit too much in the 3v3 scene. In 2v2 him and kaydop are perhaps still the most dominant duo some 2+ years later.

Completely agree with this comment. Fairy Peak when focused on 1v1, is the GOAT. Firstkiller would not hold a candle to Fairy during their peak times in 1v1. Fairy was actually UNBEATABLE, while Firstkiller literally just got reverse swept by Leth on Johnny's stream... Taking nothing away from Firstkiller, but zero chance that would have happened if it was Fairy. When it comes to sheer dominance, Fairy Peak is the GOAT, above Scrub, above First, above anyone. I would think that most people would agree with this as well. Hell, dare I say Fairy beats Firstkiller RIGHT NOW during a show match on Johnny's stream. I'd actually put $ on Fairy. Fairy doesn't even focus on 1v1 anymore and just 3-0 Scrub Killa on Johnny's channel yesterday. Not disagreeing with this list though, no person's list is going to be identical. I do I00% agree with this comment though.

This list was spot on FLuuMP! As a player who was been there since the start I can confirm these players were the standouts in these seasons. One season I disagree with though is season 5 with Turbopolsa. I think Remkoe should’ve been there. He had just been a world champion and he was basically the first “Kaydop”. His precision and intelligence was nowhere to be seen at that time. He was super popular back then as well.

Everyone knows Garrett was the best player in the world during Season 5 RLCS, Jstn was a flashy player but he was reckless. Garrett carried NRG from the beginning of the season all the way to the Grand Finals. And in the finals he was the best player on the field, the only thing I can remember from Jstn that season was his insane 0-second goal. I remember every week Garrett surprised me with how consistent and dominant he was on the field. It was like he just refused to lose which is why he always won, but then Fire kinda decided to bump him.

You keep forgetting to add the bit where Firstkiller's win streak ended when he actually faced a European 1v1er aka Eekso, flakes, OSM xd And the first 2 players were focusing on 3v3. Yeah he's good but you weren't really looking everywhere and critically, I think players like Sypical, Aztral, Bluey, kassio, Gyro, Arsenal, Alpha54, Flakes, Speed and other players deserve a shout. First is a monster in 1s, but I think the Gyro/Retals cherrypicking bump rotation made more of an impact on season 12's meta after Dreamhack...the way they go for bumps with recoveries and boost steals in mind is next level and even stacked teams like NRG are having to adjust their rotations

You said something really interesting in this video that I had forgotten about. You talked about how Jknaps pioneered how to compete at this level you have to be an all round player. This made me think of my own mindset when I was a new player in season 3 and when I was a plat in season 4. I had a 3s team and I was the goal scorer. My teammate Josh was the freestyler/passer. And my other teammate Ryan made the majority of the interceptions and saves. I remember watching early RLCS and thinking that the way I should be playing according to them is with a striker, a midfielder and a defender. This was also evident in the players' stats in that time. Over time I have became more well rounded to fit into current meta. I'm C3 right now. However, the majority of my games that I have played were in earlier seasons and it's evident on my accounts statistics that I used to play in this style in which we had roles. My goals per game being at 2 and my saves and assists being around 1. Thoughts?

While I don’t think they necessarily need to be a season recognized name, I think an honorable mention belongs to Fireburner and Chicago. Both guys are the definition of consistency and the backbones of the teams they played on and during the era of flash and show, they saw that with more flash there would be mistakes and openings and used their consistency and game sense to flush out opportunities for them selves and teammates and while it doesn’t jump off the page for stat lines, they were clearly the rock that kept their respective teams able to push in a multitude of ways. There is something very honorable about taking the silent pillar role and letting the others around you go for the spicy plays and be the glitzy glory players.

Chausette could actually be season 12's best player as well because he just single handedly dismantled the EU regional championship, not to take anything away from fruity and ferra, who were amazing as well. He could very well be the best player in the world now -- just as Gibbs predicted at the desk prior to the regional championship games. Interested to see if chausette will keep this up at worlds.

I remember playing with paschy in season 2. We’re both German and I ran into him without knowing who was/would become. We played for about 5 months but then I took a 1 year break from gaming. Sometimes I wish I hadn’t taken that break 😅
