I like to do my videos with the same philosophy as writing. You want to share what it relevant/entertaining, and present it in an easily understandable way. No need to bog down with pauses, "ums", and "uhs". Yeah, everyone likes the sample games for most of my other tutorials. Fluxx is fun and quick, but I admittedly don't play it that much anymore. Thanks for the compliments. Thanks for watching!

Just played my first couple of Fluxx games; Cthulhu and Zombies. These are excellent little card games. Great fun, and also really easy for casual players to pick up. Really good intro video chaps. Just a minor note, if you're going to use riffle shuffles, you need to do it 7 times. www.math.hmc.edu/funfacts/ffiles/20001.1-6.shtml

Oh yes, they are very easy for he most casual of players! Thanks for the fun math fact. I think I heard this before, but for practicality purposes, a lot of times I'll settle for slightly less than random shuffles. Thanks for watching!

Good job-- kept it focussed, so many vids bog down with irrelevant details or present things in a confusing sequence. Also, the sample games give a good sense of it for the most part. Fluxx can be a wacky game, not much room for strategy because the conditions change so fast there's not much time for strategy to develop-- some games seem to be ridiculous at times due to the strange conditions the rules can impose.

You guys did a great video!

It is pretty fun as a quick game to play because of how chaotic it can be. Other than that, it's easy to learn and easy to play. LOL Empty hand trades are fun. Thank you for watching!

Yeah, I've played tons of Fluxx variants (including Zombie Fluxx). I own Pirate Fluxx, but I think my favorite (theme-wise) is probably Star Fluxx.

My 13 yr. old daughter and I are having a hard time learning the Cartoon Network version of Fluxx. Tonight, her eyes glazed over. There are so many new rules that can coexist. Her friend gave her this for Christmas and now it is May 1 and we have yet to successfully play the game. We are getting to dread trying to play because we just get hung up. I think I'm going to have to buy the Family Fluxx game because the inventor guy said on his video that Family Fluxx is the easiest one to learn. Any suggestions?

+remcat03 Yeah, the base game doesn't have too much extra, but all the variants of Fluxx will introduce new mechanics, new cards, and all sorts of other things. That being said, in all versions of Fluxx, there can be so many rules that can co-exist. If you would like to just play the game, the basic version of Fluxx or Family Fluxx is just fine. But if you're trying to use this as a gaming stepping stone to get to more complex games, you should eventually figure out what it is. Which part of Cartoon Network Fluxx is hanging you guys up? The whole point of a game is to have fun. If you are dreading playing this particular game, why not try something else?

One can also simply make a cap on max ammounts of new rules in play. Not shure if it would somehow cripple the game. Up to the "experts" to tell. But me thinks it would. I mean. The rules would still change now and then and the "soul" of the game would be preseved, albeit with less complexity.

erm, I meant it would work, not cripple it. Leave me alone, its 3 a clock in the morning here X)
