That's a tough river to fish. Open canopy makes for skiddish fish. It's produced on overcast and rainy days, and out of deep pools. Good place for striping streamers. I had a20 inch plus brown chase a stock rainbow i caught just below the bridge. So don't be afraid to use big ugly streamers.

It’s been over a year so this might be a mute point but you want to typically set your hook downstream. Set the hook into the fishes mouth. If the fish ends up striking below you, set the hook up and downstream. It’s not an exact science but it’s a good rule of thumb.

Have you found a good spot on that creek for Redeye bass? Im just missing one fish for my bass slam, and ive heard that that stretch of Amicolola has them. I went once and got skunked on bass, but caught a ridiculous amount of Rainbows.

Really cool Caleb!!! I definitely have to do some fly fishing next year. It's certainly a change in pace compared to bass fishing but the enjoyed of catching them is the same. Keep doing what your doing bro and happy new years to you and the family

This one was hero7 (recently upgraded to a hero9) and then for my talking head shots and b roll I use a Sony a6300 with a 20mm prime G lens.
