My grandfather taught me how to flying for bass in the 80's and stop for to long just started to get back in to it 2 years ago because my son told me that I can't get Bass on a fly 🤔 now he is hooked on flying even tieing up new fly. What fun way to waste time on the water come and slow down. Everyone was to go though fast and keep moving to fast. The popper is the first pick in the summer when it's hot and grass is everywhere. Even the frog popper. Nice to see Yung gen using fly's 👊🏼 respect guys

Love poppers, especially for smallmouth. The best thing about on a fly rod is, if you miss em’, you just cast right back to the same spot. Cheers from Chicago.

Fishing clear rivers here in Central Texas we make sure first splash waves calm completely before first popping. We use frog patterns early spring and grasshopper and perch/minnow later after grasshopper hatch. Great video, nice presentation

What pound leader do you usually use for bass? I just started fly fishing and mostly fish for bass. I have 5/6 and 7/8 wt set ups. I’m not sure if I should use a heavier leader on the 7/8. I usually use 12lb flouro and 6, or 8lb flouro on my 5/6. Each leader is 6’-8’ long with no tibets. Thanks for all the info you put out there! Rob
