Lorenzo, I wish more people would just get outdoors and do something fun. It doesn't have to be fishing or hunting, it can be hiking, photography, rock hounding, collecting leaves for gosh sakes. I think sometimes people get lost in the world because they forget to be a part of it. I believe the average person will get along with most people if they remember there are so many things out there to see and do, that do not require us to be liberal or conservative, we are just people trying our best to get through life and just find some joy in raising our families and breathing fresh air. Cole and Jay serve to remind us of this and it is for us to pay attention.

Fly fishing is a art, the more you fish with your fly rod the better you'll get Cole. Don't be so hard on yourself, casting and catching fish is a challenge on a fly rod. Add moving water and rock's at your feet make it that much more of a challenge. Nice job guys!!!

Loved watching this fishing video. I Hated to see the big drums being tossed back in. I know most people think they are not good to eat but, let me tell you they are. The meat is very white and tender not a lot of bones. Fried in beer batter. Its the best.

Cole, I will give you this, drum are fun to catch. I was trolling on Kentucky Lake using a Shad Rap and ended up hooking and landing a 30 lb plus drum. That damn fish pulled my little john boat all over the place. Only bad part, that fish SLIMED the entire inside of my boat! Was still fun to catch though. I was hoping it was a big catfish, but NO.

I used to fly fish a lot back when I was younger and always enjoyed it . I never tried catfishing in a river with it , but I used to fish for bluegills and once I even caught a very small large mouth bass . And when I say tiny I mean it was maybe 2 or 3 inches long but put up one heck of a fight .

Been hoping you'd do another fly rod video for big bluegill. I have two size 5 fly reel/rod combos that are my go-to when the bass are slow. Fishing for panfish with the fly rod & poppers is so much fun and action-packed. Would love to target bass with bass poppers but I've learned I probably need to step up my equipment to size 7-8 with larger leaders as well. How about a big bluegill challenge with Jay using spinning gear and artificial panfish baits while you use the fly rod?

Cole, the Woolly Bugger is the best all round pattern out there. I like them with a bullet head or on a sinking tip line. I teach all first time Tiers to make black Woolly Buggers, because no matter how rough it looks, it will catch fish.

Cats on the fly rod is awesome. Actually a 1x leader is 13 lb test. Very cool. Ive caught many species on the fly including a 19 lb drum and a 7lb walleye. But never a catfish

If you can find anyone that ties a "Waterhag", it used to be very effective in Ozarks. Guys started it was in Ohio. My dad used to buy a card of them when we went to Sallisaw. We'd go to the reservoir. The water has put everyone else to shame. Just fly-fishing would.

I imagine that current makes it difficult to tell how large they are. You are having to fight the fish and the current.
