Fly Fishing for HUGE PIKE in Siberia (122 cm - 13 kg)

After succesfully catching a pike on a carrot, we decided to go for a quick dinner at the camp, and then head out again, only equipped with a flyrod. After not finding any activity at all the first hours, Anton got a strike, and the rest is, as they say, history. It was such an honour to witness a fish like that, and to see it swim back. Класс! В этом году были в Томской области, там таких крокодилов полно впринципе, впервые в жизни увидел щуку пойманую одним из товарищей на 14.3кг. Но это пол беды, на фотографиях у руководителя базы где мы проживали была мега щука которая на старом кантыре грамм 200-300 не дотянула до 18, (фото правда было сделано аж 22 года назад, может для того времени это были нормы). О таких рыбах можно только мечтать

Due to the current situation with Coronavirus fishing is forbidden in our country, so when i see a pike this big it breaks my heart knowing i will not be able to go fishing for the next month, maybe even longer

Fly fishing will be always the best! Congratulation Anton, for a beginer fly fishermen you are on fire! For William, If you allows me just a little advice from a fly fishermen (not at the level of Niklaus of course) when you use a wiggle tail or a dragon tail do rolly polly because if you strip the wiggling action is lesser efficient because it stops all the time. If you want to strip with one of Pacchiarini creation use wave tail on articulated flies. I saw that you use one to catch the big mama and it was the case for my three largest fishes two. Brocodiles simply loves the jerk action of the articulated one. Hey Anton send a big thanks to the fly guy that gives the fly to you . All the best. ps: I hope you are no longer in the hospital as seen in the end of the penultimate video?
