I was in that same area last year. Caught my first steelhead on the fly with flies I teid myself. Did alot of research, 19 steelhead later it was the best trip of my life with my best friend at my side.

Awesome vid! I've always wanted to see more Ohio fly fishing vids no matter what is was for. Born and raised in Ohio but never made it up north to go after the steelies. I'm hoping to do it this year. Also I love the shop, not many people will go out of their way when running a business to give you information without trying anything.

im supposed to be going out on the rocky river this weekend up in cleveland metro parks. it will be my first time fly fishing and im targeting steelhead. i read my local fishing reports and they were saying that size 6 white zonkers are what are bringing guys fish this season. should i be throwing that on a 5/6 wt or a 9/10?? also would it be ok to throw that without any weights/indicator? i dont have any it also seems i am too late to order any and i can not go to the store because of this virus. Hopefully all you guys at mad river are staying safe during these times, also love the channel, keep it up guys!!!
