No doubt! I could feel it was a big one by the weight it had in the current when I first came tight with it on the line. Got my heart pumping because there's a lot of ways to lose big fish on barbless hooks. Thanks for watcing!

Great video! Glad you shared it with the NGTO community. That second fish though. . . OMG! That was great! Hopefully all is going well for you at State. I'll have my niece bring you a nice LSU hat in the fall semester so you don't have to wear that maroon cap. ;) Hope to see you on the river this summer! Shoot me a note or PM on ngto if you ever feel like going out in a boat on the 'Hooch around Duluth. I could stand to learn a bit from you regarding fishing!

Thank you very much!! Going well, I am bout to come back to GA after my online test tomorrow, I really appreciate that offer we'll have to get on them!! I'll have to bring 2 maroon hats and a cowbell to make sure the trout don't lose their appetite !

Super good video man. I can believe you don’t have more viewers. Nice job on that rainbow as well that was a toad.

Scott Swingley Thanks man!! That was a beef cake I was stoked haha. I believe if I can consistently create more pieces I am proud of documenting my adventures then the viewers will come! I really appreciate every viewer so even if one person really enjoys something I post then I’d be really happy!

Hey I am doing a trip up to Helen soon for a fishing trip. How deep is the water in this area you are fishing?
@madfishinskillz11 күн бұрын
To hide from predators they will nearly always be in water ~3ft deep or deeper!!

Park at the bridges in town and fish up and downstream as far as you're comfortable wading! Go up the Hooch WMA and fish at any pull off you can find. You could also do your research on the Smith Creek DH and familiarize yourself with the special regulations. Your best shot is to stop at Unicoi Outfitters on the edge of town and find out the most updated fishing tips!

As long as anglers follow special regulations and release properly then it's a fair chase, those fish are very smart. I hope to make some videos in the near future promoting the respect and development of GA's trout fisheries!
@djpublius4 жыл бұрын
were you required to throw those fish back, or you didn’t want to keep them? I’m trying to learn about fishing, & don’t know why all the trout fishing KZbin videos I came across seem to have people releasing them. Thanks

Is it really true that as a GA resident, I can only catch and keep 3 trout per year? I know I can catch and keep one trout per day, but 3/year seems pretty slim to me for the amount and regularity that they stock the streams. I posted the rules and regs below. Maybe y'all can make more sense from them that I can. Thanks! @t
@madfishinskillz4 жыл бұрын
Hi there, the limit is 8 trout per person per day in GA! There are certain streams and sections that allow artificial lures only or have special regulations so I'd definitely recommend being knowledgeable about the area you're fishing! Here's a link that'll help: www.eregulations.com/georgia/fishing/trout-fishing/

Whats weight rod are you using? And where is that bridge? I live here and I’m not familiar with that one.
@madfishinskillz4 жыл бұрын
3 wt 10ft Syndicate rod which has been great so far and handles 6x nicely. As for the bridge...I'm gonna have to leave that undisclosed at the moment ! Thanks for watching go out and find a hoss! Plenty of public water to hit with a little research!, best of luck
