Fly Fishing in Western Wyoming for Wild Cutthroat Trout

After enduring a two-hour, bone jarring, teeth rattling and tire ripping marginally improved rocky road, my wife and I welcomed the sight of a forest service cabin -- our home for three nights. I fished a beautiful headwater stream with my old Sage RPL 5 weight. Choice of fly pattern was not critical as the fish were plentiful and hungry. Although I brought a sling pack full of fly boxes, I only used three flies for three days: size 18 and 14 stimulators, and a size 14 blue hippie stomper which I lost in the jaw of a cutthroat.

@1:30 what motel (airbnb) did you stay in (if it's not secret). @8:45 wow that's far away from any civilization... just hope you carried some water though. Great fishing action Thanks for sharing! Oh and you can catch big cutthroat trout fishing the Green just below the Fontenelle dam make sure you park at Trailrace C.G.
