Fly Fishing | Trout Tacos | WILD Blackberry Pancakes | Boondock Camp!

HI guys!
I go Fly Fishing the North Fork of the Yuba River in Northern California. I catch a few wild Rainbow Trout and have one for dinner! I also find some wild Blackberries along the river,collect some and have Blackberry pancakes for breakfast the next morning!

Wish I was there Chris! Blackberries and fly fishing for fresh caught fish…yum! On the 🇨🇦Vancouver coast, blackberries and fresh fish are the best meal you can ever have…with some wasabi and soy and yogurt for the berries!

I'm jealous fresh berries off the vine, you hit the jackpot. When I was a kid my gram would go for a hike with us near our cabin near Prescott Az and there was a place by the dirt road where the as a huge patch of 🌊 of strawberries. Wed take Paul's and pick them and shed makevshortcake ir parfaits for us. So giud, store bought berries can't compare!

With the Ted ones you can always add something new sugar to them and mix in with the ripe berries and make a pie and it will still be good or put them in a parfait with whipped cream.

Great video! I know you swapped out your old cook set with the MalloMe set, but still use the Summit Skillet from Jetboil. I have the MalloMe set too, but the frying pan is subpar in my opinion. Is it worth making the jump to the Summit Skillet? Keep up the great videos and "keep hiking!"

The Summit skillet is $45 ( little spendy ) but the non stick / size / foldable has been useful for me in my cooking. ( pancakes fall right off it. same with eggs ) easy to clean too.

Check out msr cookware. They have 2 sized skillets. I have the smaller 7” skillet. Works great with a stove.

Awesome trip. Do you think the Jetboil frypan is worth the high dollars? I have a GSI pinnacle 10" which has been working like wonders but would like a smaller frypan.

it's $45 so that is up to you and your budget...but I have found that the size/ foldable handle/ non stick ( eggs slide right off ) easy to clean makes it worth it for me.
