I stumbled onto Morissette music a couple of weeks ago by chance and have watched quite a few of her performances since and I still cannot believe I have never heard of her here in Australia. You know how there are good singers and there are really good singers and then there are a hand full of exceptional singers on this planet. Well ... Morissette is sitting right on top of that list! I know that I'm usually late to the party when it comes to this stuff, but for what it's worth, here's my take: I've been on this earth for more than 48 years, and if I've ever seen a better version of a cover song, I can't think of it at this moment. And it's not just one thing, it's the overall package. The lead vocals: Morissette is an absolute beast. The range, and the multiple techniques that she uses here, are over the top good. The background vocals are very well done. The musicianship is fantastic. I'd be interested to know who else played on this besides the two guys shown here, who are also singing background vocals. I have a background as a professional percussionist, and the drum set part is right on point. And this is a feel good video, because it just makes you happy to watch and listen to this. It would be interesting to learn how something like this comes together, with different people recording different parts, from different places at different times. This is proof that a global pandemic, and all the rules and restrictions that go along with it don't have to stop you from doing something amazing. It's also interesting to see the reaction videos from professional vocal coaches. Even they seem to be very impressed. Seriously, this is amazing, and it blew my mind.

This lady deserves a spot in the US and UK music industry. I’ve been a fan of Mori since she joined The Voice PH and I was honestly disappointed and frustrated she didn’t win that damn contest. But she has proven time and time again that she didn’t need to win that thing, because she has out of this world T-A-L-E-N-T-S!! I can still recall when I first saw her performed live, she was invited into our company’s yearly kickoff party at SMX Convention Center. And she all blew us away. I mean don’t get me wrong the party was really fun, but the moment she came out of the stage - she was a total bomb and everyone has had the best night ever. I love this lady because she has always kept her feet on the ground, even during her toughest times. She kept her core intact despite the negative reactions and bashing here and there. I’m so lucky to have existed in this lifetime where I can listen and witness Mori’s pure and amazing talents. She’s undeniably one of the best artists if not the best that has ever lived in this lifetime. So keep soaring higher Phoenix - and I will never lose hope that one day, you’ll takeover the global music industry because you deserve it❣️ To all avid fans of Mori, who may have access to information for her next big concert here in PH, please do keep me in the loop. I think she’s becoming more mature now with her musicality. Whistles are back and healthy, while vocal cracks are reduced. Plus she doesn’t care about what other people are saying! She’s really starting to deepen and strengthen her roots. :) Vocal cracks, though intentional, cause more damage than whistles. I wouldn’t elaborate much on the technicalities, but just focus on the word “crack”. I noticed in her recent vids that she has lessened this (hindi naman ultimately nawala, which is ok lang coz it’s better if it’s natural rather than intentional). Plus her tone is becoming a bit sweeter, but still packed with the usual punch of power, when needed. And boiiiiiiiiii we just got served hot vocals!! I am a big fan of Mariah Carey (and Mori, of course) but this version is just such a delight! It’s not at all similar to Mariah’s but it’s equally great!!!! More than the whistles, I loved her belts here. It’s very clear and “TUMATAGINTING”. The only girl that can give justice to all of Mariah’s songs. Morissette!!!! Keep on blazing, our phoenix!

I 100% agree, there's nothing out there that even comes close, by the way, she has a big fan base outside of the Philippines, and it's getting bigger by the day, especially here in Liverpool England.
