The earphones convinced me to subscribe. Can you imagine trying to hear all of this performance without them? On a cell phone speaker? I love your enthusiasm and appreciation for what you are hearing. Voice coaches can use Morissette's performances to teach just about anything. But, she is also the complete package. From listening to morissette perform standing up live in her own concert singing Chandelier to the wish bus performing Akin Ka Na Lang then listening to her in a home / studio session singing Fly Like A Bird, please react to her singing standing up LIVE again in the 2017 Asia Song Festival where she sang two consecutive songs. This song really is a masterclass in control and precision. Big call for "she used to be mine". Might be a "sit down and I'll show you how it's done" moment for you but I like your rendition of it, although.... like nearly all the versions I've heard it sounds like you're singing a song. From the opening vowel Morissette rips open a can of emotional whip-ass which tears through my heart every time. Watching her sing that song is... difficult for me emotionally and even though I don't think it's one of her best (too many growls) her delivery, the story itself is so powerful I'm overwhelmed. Good luck when you get to it.

She is a bit older at 44, who previously shunned commercial secular opportunities to pursue singing Gospel due to her deeply held religious beliefs and a sense of obligation to use her gifts to comfort people. However, since starting to branch out she is considered one of the best female vocalists in the world. She is a professor of music at a prominent university, arranges all her own music, and is an acclaimed fantasy novelist. She has several English covers, though her Korean songs are just as impressive.
