REED wow. this is amazing. thank you for the inside look.... what a heritage you have... and a legacy.... This is a rare look at what it must be like... I was a youngster in Oklahoma, and I would watch the yellow Air Tractors put it down.... I have always wondered... what if i had gone for it, and become an arial application pilot.... im not out of time, and you make me want it.... Thanks for sharing, and take care of that boy. much love from Houston.

Great video, stay safe flying. May I ask, where you got the pedal Air Tractor?

Love it, plus one question when I was young they had an ag cat use to land on the Landry farms behind our house. the guy would see we always watch and one day he asked if we wanted to take a ride. but my sister wouldn't let us. So my question is can someone ride with the pilot? Thanks for your video

Thanks for your question. Agricultural airplanes operate under FAA Restricted Category Aircraft rules. One of those rules stipulates that no person may be carried on a restricted aircraft unless that person is a flight crewmember, a crewmember trainee, or performs a special purpose operation for which the airplane is certificated. The majority of today’s ag aircraft have single-seat cockpits, so there’s no room for a passenger. When people see these airplanes working above farm fields, it looks as if it would be an exciting ride. And it is! But there are other airplanes better suited to “fun rides.” www.ecfr.gov/cgi-bin/retrieveECFR?n=se14.2.91_1313

I know some people who gave their children a ride in a couple different ag planes. They sat on the pilots lap and buckled in. No Ag work was done, just a short flight around the airport. Not legal, but this sort of thing does happen all across the US.
