She was sitting while he was sailing Birds were singing the song for their togetherness The cold breeze , the waves in river were making atmosphere even more beautiful. Green leaves of the tree waving with the wind. The river bank was veiled with fine mist . The hill with the green trees looked serene. She took out flute. Hold it gently. And started playing the calm and peaceful yet silent song of the nature. Though both of them knew each other for a long time. Today it felt different to both of them. He gazed at her with his dazed eyes. Both of them staring while she was still playing the song that made him realise that he know her not for ten years but even more than anyone could guess. Both of them flying and reminscing.

What I find so interesting with each post, is the interplay of facial and arm muscles & tendons as you play. I find the placement of the 1, 2 & 3 holes irregular compared to the 4, 5 & 7 holes. That is what throws me, having to re-place my right hand second last finger slightly further than the rest. But anatomically I think you also need to be built to play dizi which many Asian peoples are able due to their long elegant slender fingers. Mine are pure short, stubby Anglo fingers, i’d never be able to play piano..lol. Thank you again for another inspiring piece.

Haha I the 123 holes are spaced like that for the sound to come out on pitch. I think you can do it with ease once you get use to it. 👍

Wow I love this cover! May I ask, I'm trying to learn dizi off Web resources, is the fingering for ornaments the same as for classical flute?... Its so hard to find online tutorials for non-Chinese speaker, but there's plenty for flutes.... 🙏

There are many similarities. I think it wouldn't be that hard to transition from one to another.

The numbers are representative of the note you play (1 is Do, 2 is Re etc.etc) And if it has a dot on top of the number it’s played in a higher register! Hope this helps!
