Yeah the Netflix is just worse, Kaworu is super gay in the original translation using "love" instead of "like." That homoerotic theme is important. End of Evangelion was changed with Shinji saying "I'm so messed up." instead of the more accurate feeling "I'm so fucked up." They're not huge major problems but i feel like they take a lot bite out of their respective scenes and themes.
@ohh77593 жыл бұрын
@@liammcclish4291 oh absolutely. When you take in such an important, beloved and iconic show as Evangelion it’s a duty to stay as true as reasonable to the original material. Since netflix is introducing the show to an even broader audience and many of us are first time watchers it’s especially important to do things right. The lack of explicit, straight to the point lines between Kaworu and Shinji made their relationship to one another feel a bit strange and awkward and felt really different to the original ://

I've been watching the episodes on Netflix, then I come here for the credits for the corresponding episode

I always found it funny that they did so many covers of this song for the show as if it didn't already have countless covers from all around the globe over the years I'm not complaining of course it's bound to happen to a song as good as this one.

More shows need to have multiple versions of their ending songs per episode.

Never seen Eva but these covers are so sweet! I really love them, especially with having an vage idea on what the anime is about, feels almost bitter sweet really

Favorite part about this end credits not only is it a different person of the cast who sings, the background gets more distorted the more you get to the end

I really have to come back and watch this after every episode I finish because I’m missing out on this bc of Netflix… come on I mean that Asuka Bossa mix?!?! I would of loved to have heard that right after watching episode 9. Thank you for this
For those wondering about the copyright stopping people for experiencing these after each episode, it expires in 2029 meaning if the publisher cares enough they can reinclude these endings. The song was written in 1954 and creative works published/copyrighted before 1980 can only be kept copywritten for 75 years!
