Oh, I still edit out plenty! This darn hackle took me three tries. And the practice fly right before was almost perfect! Something just happens when you push record. 😁

I loved the intro. So from a fishing Monk, to a fishing Nun. So with her being a Fly Fishing Nun? Could we also include the Flying Nun or maybe even the Singing Nun? If so? You got it Jason; appreciate you watching! And I think you're right... I could see this being an effective pattern with an olive or even darker body. I did read when researching this pattern that the red tail basically becomes irrelevant after about 8-10 feet deep as the fish wouldn't differentiate colors in the darker water.

Great tie, Matt. I was lucky enough to pick up a grey hackle dry fly that Paul Hughes (Linville, NC) tied a few years ago @ Faye Hughes store. There was enough flies in that old store to start a museum. Keith

Ha! Yes, nuns, monks... not the same thing. It is a great pattern encyclopedia, although at about $40 a bit pricey. But with over 1,600 patterns in it, it could keep a tier busy for years!
