Fly Tying: Chubby Chernobyl Ant

The Chubby Chernobyl is one of those flies that only needs an introduction to those who haven’t fished it. Quite versatile, and effective it is a staple in the fly box of most people that I know. Below is a list of materials used to tie the fly in the video
Materials List:
Hook - Dai Riki #700 (size 6 4xl streamer hook, try Umpqua U-series in the same size)
Thread - Purple 140 Denier Danville Waxed
Tail - Pearl Crystal Flash
Dubbing - Purple Ice Dub
Body - 3mm Black Foam
Foam cutters - River Road Creations Chernobyl Style (tapered-end) Medium
Adhesive - Fly Tyers Zement
Legs - Blue Barred Crazy Legs Deep Purple/Blue
Wings - White Mcflylon

Great pattern! I like the tip of super glueing the foam down so that it doesn’t want to roll to either side of the hook.
