Hey Daniel, have you ever tried Hedron's Strung Fuzzy Fiber? Makes some of the best heads ever spun up in a dubbing loop, would be a good substitution for the head on this bug. Awesome tie man.

Hi Daniel, classic colors for a pike fly. Do you carry a brush or comb when you fish this? I've seen some saltwater fisherman comb out this style of fly after some casts because it tends to tangle up. Beautiful pike in the intro, thanks for sharing 👍

Hello there. I do not carry a comb, pike will smash it and bang it up and that is ok. Works great even after several pikes

Well yes i manage to catch a few above the meter every year. But these past two years i have been a bit more focused on salmon and trout that pike

It's called bigfly fiber. Very popular material in pike fishing

Davs Daniel. Is it possible to revers tie the craftfur instead.

Well yes it is and this will work best with a flymen fish skull because you will need something to keep it back or your fly will look a bit strange. I do the loop to get a nice even head with no clumbsy ends sticking out and to have a more colplete look of the fly. you could just tie it down but it will make the head of the fly look, well just plain ugly. I think ;)
