Well worth doing. Large salmon flies are amongst the easiest flies to make. Someone asked me to do a selection of 10’s to 14’s a while back. It was a nightmare. Could have done 6’s in half the time. The tinsel heads on the flamethrowers are a headache too, it slides about even with the superglue.

A beautifully tied fly. Lots of material. I better practice on a much bigger hook!
