Re: Squirrel hair wing. I’m very glad you mentioned using head cement & not super glue. Squirrel hair can be very slippery & it sometimes wants to spin or slide off the hook. I intended to tie a few dozen emergers with squirrel hair wings. I got frustrated with the squirrel hair & had what I thought was a brilliant idea. Use superglue! Not so brilliant! It’s very hard to tie or do much else when your thumb & forefinger are glued together along with hair on a hook. I was stuck that way for 5 hours until my wife got home & found the misplaced bottle of nail polish remover. Note: Nail polish remover contains acetone which is one of the few things that dissolves superglue.
