Really appreciate how you give the viewers an idea of where you are - no way that places like this will be "overrun", because very few people will be willing to make that hike. Most fly fishing videos that act like it's a big secret are pretty worthless - unless of course you just want to watch some dude catching fish. Keep up the good work !

Great video! Reminds me of me and my buddy Dan 25 years ago. We used to hike in from the hatchery at Questa down to where the Red and Rio meet. It’s a haul but damn we caught some big brownies and nice cut bows! I like your discipline and time management too. It’s easy to get caught by sunset and have a dark and dangerous hike out. Makes me want to go back!

Dude you have to come try the trout streams in the Appalachian mountains, grew up in southwest Virginia and could drive less than an hour each direction to a great creek/river.

Time for huevos rancheros and a chicken enchilada...well earned...There are some big trout in NM but, you sometimes need to walk quite the distance...It can be dangerous to do it alone so, be careful..Don’t ignore those walleye and smallmouth at Conchas and Ute lakes....They have some whoppers there...great videos good sir..

Awesome videos bro. We should fish sometime. I work at CRA in Mogote Co. on one of the best fisheries in the SW. Haven't been on the Rio in a few years and was planning a trip after the New year. Anyways, keep up the good work bro! Tom.

RIo Hondo access is also full of big trout, it is not a hard walk, drive and park, lots of Rocky Mt Big Horn Sheep and some cute bathers in the hot spring about a 1/3 mile on west side of Rio Grande...only the San Juan below Navajo is better for size, but both place you need best foot wear for mossy rocks. I filmed this on another unbelievable fishery, Rio De Los Pinos, easy walk down the RR tracks down from Osier Co to New Mexico, great for med to large trout! kzbin.info/www/bejne/o16qdWesnaZmhNE

Bro… getting into fly fishing for trout. I’m a seasoned fisherman but, novice at fly fishing. I’m looking for gear and I’ve boiled it down to a 5wt but, not sure of the length of rod. I’ve seen 5wt from 7’-9’ the waters I’ll be fishing will not be big. What length would you recommend? I’m going to be fishing West Virginia streams. -love your channel btw 👌
