Sometimes you gotta swallow your pride a bit was one of the finest quotes a fly fisherman could say. To many egomaniacs nowadays thinking that they know everything istead of selecting a life of neverending learning curve. But Todd is always here to remind us about that. And I love this old school of fly fishing, its is trully what fly fishing means. One fly, 20+FT of Leader +tippet just as we like it :) As usual amazing perfect video.

I'm a Kiwi from the top of the North Island and have watched a lot of videos in the South Island. But that last fish, taken with the chopper in the background, is the most beautifully coloured I've seen. Stunning. Great job on capturing the SI experience. A good guide is eye wateringly expensive for most of us, but for that bucket list trip, it seems to be worth it. I've tried fishing that area solo as part of a summer family holiday and came home with my tail well and truly between my legs. Beautiful B roll and great slo mo. Lovely stuff.

Beautiful video. What model(s) Winston and weight(s) rods was Brian fishing?
@CatchMagazine18 күн бұрын
The New Zealand films I did this past year are all using the R.L. Winston Air 2 9ft 6wt rods. I brought 5wt Winston's but the 6wt's were definitely the sweet spot for bigger fish and throwing those super long leaders. Thanks for watching!
